George Sink, P.A. Injury Lawyers and The Partners for a Better Community are proud to present the 2017 winner of The George Sink Valor Award, Markez Coleman, from Fort Dorchester High School. Attendees of the 2017 Emma W. Johnson Scholarship Soiree’ honored the student for his inspiring accomplishments in the face of adversity. Winners of this award must achieve a 3.0 GPA or higher while overcoming challenges that other students never have to experience.
As a Vietnam veteran, Mr. Sink understands what it’s like to walk a challenging path and succeed. He wouldn’t be here today without the same determination, focus, and adaptability the award winners have shown. Through trials and tribulations, he has built a law firm that helps victims and their families cope in the aftermath of tragedy. He started The George Sink Valor Scholarship to honor young people who have overcome hardship and come out ahead. It is our firm’s hope that it inspires the same tenacity in future scholarship applicants.
Our firm has handled over 50,000 cases and secured compensation and justice for victims and their families across South Carolina and Georgia. We fight for fair compensation for people who have suffered due to another party’s negligence. We believe that part of a client-focused approach is getting involved in the community and giving back to the people. Our Sink Valor Scholarship is one way we do that. You can visit our Community Page to see other ways we stay engaged with local events and other scholarships we sponsor, such as our Veteran and Military Family Scholarship.
