Prom is on the horizon for high school students all around Charleston. Many young ladies who dream of an incredible prom night do not have the financial means necessary to buy a stunning new outfit. The Cinderella Day Project helps make their dreams come true by collecting donations to distribute to the young ladies and financial contributions to give them other services, like hair and makeup styling before their prom dance.
The Cinderella Day Project shoots for the stars every year to help high school students feel stylish on their prom nights. This year at George Sink, P.A. Injury Lawyers we are proud to support the project as a prime sponsor.
The primary donations collected by Cinderella Day Charleston are:
- Makeup supplies
- Financial donations
There are currently drop-off and donation centers throughout the region, which are accepting donations until February 26th, 2018. You can look for a donation center near you by visiting https://cinderelladaycharleston.com/donation-centers/.

Here are a few reviews from attendees:
It was an honor to be a part of this event and I can tell you, these girls and their families were so excited and appreciative of our participation and donations. There were several times during the day where I and the other volunteers were moved to tears.
I have contact information for two lovely ladies from Augusta GA that will be throwing their first very own Cinderella Day in two weeks. I will be reaching out to our North Augusta team to see what we can do to help them out. J
Thank you so much!
The last girl of the day stepped into my booth. And as I fixed her hair and made sure her dress was straight, she began to tear up. "How was your day?" I asked. Her time with me was her last stop- she had a personal shopper help her find a dress, this radiant yellow number. There was an entire ROOM of jewlry and hair pieces, shoes, there were hair and makeup artists who gave her time and their talent. Not one girl paid a dime.
"Today was amazing," came the reply. Seriously, in case no one else said anything, thank you from the bottom of All of our hearts. This experience...I would never have been able to afford a dress, or shows, gosh or even jewerly!!"
Knowing exactly what she felt like, I responded. "And you just want to be able to do things that are fun without so much hard work?"
"Yes. Oh my gosh, yes, exactly. You have no idea how much this means. You have no idea how much you've done. Thank you so much."
Every girl who came to see me today said they felt like this photo. And it is exactly why I will do work in-kind for as long as I have skills and the ability and a camera. Portraits give worth.
