Safety latches and outlet covers are being recalled because they pose a safety risk to children, according to news reports.
Prime-Line announced it is recalling approximately 37,000 safety latches and outlet covers, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
The recalled products may break or loosen, causing children to have access to electrical outlets and hazardous items.
So far, four reported incidences of screws breaking have been received, with no injuries.
The products were sold using the brandname "Child Safe." They were sold in packages of three, with specific model numbers.
The recalled items sold in Ace Hardware, Bostwic-Braun, Cal-Do-It Centers, Do-It-Best, Friedman Brothers, Menards, Orgill, The Andersons Inc. and True Value stores between October 2010 and June 201.
