Kristen S. McRee is the daughter of a real estate attorney and a bank executive and realtor. As a young girl, she remembers watching her parents help people organize their affairs and find and maintain housing. She credits her parents with her strong work ethic and the desire to attend law school to help people who may not have the means to help themselves.
Kristen grew up in a small town outside of Pittsburgh, PA. After attending Oakland Catholic High School, She attended George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia (B.A. 2002) majoring in Sociology and minoring in American Government. While attending The Widener Commonwealth University School of Law, Kristen worked her way through law school as a legislative assistant at the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and a legal intern at the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole. In 2006, She graduated in the top 6% of her class and served as the Internal Managing Editor of the Widener Law Review. Following law school, Kristen earned a one-year judicial clerkship with a circuit court judge in Anderson, SC. Kristen comes to our firm with experience practicing in the area of worker’s compensation and personal injury law She looks forward to helping claimants navigate the process of receiving benefits to help them get back to work.
Kristen and her husband, Sean, live in Columbia with their four children. In her spare time, she enjoys baking, running, boating, spending quality time with friends and family, and volunteering to help our country’s wounded warriors.
