Truck tires on certain Ford trucks as well as on various other trucks as installed after production are being recalled, according to news reports .
Nearly 390,657 light truck tires manufactured by Continental Tire the Americas are affected by the recall. The recall is to address the reports that the “tires may experience uneven wear, vibration or particularly under conditions of overloading or under inflation in high ambient temperature usage, separation between the belt edges potentially leading to a tread separation,” according to news reports.
The tires came already installed on the 2008 and 2009 model year Ford Motor Company F-250 and F-350 trucks. “Approximately 60,000 of the 390,657 tires were sold in the tire replacement markets,” according to news reports.
