There has been a recall on the Zooper Tango Double Strollers because of a possible collapse hazard. There is the possibility of the stroller’s frame latch, located above the front wheels, failing when the stroller hits an object. This failure can cause the stroller to collapse resulting in personal injuries such as: minor scrapes, bruises and cuts.
These strollers are manufactured in China and distributed by Lan Enterprises LLC of Hillsboro, OR. They were sold nationwide through various merchandise outlets as well as through BabiesRUs.com between January 2007 and August 2008. The retail price ranges from $400 to $430.
This particular recall involves the 2007 and 2008 Zooper Tango double strollers. The model number that you want to be on the lookout for are SL808B and SL808F. Evidently the model numbers were printed on the original packaging so if you don’t have the packaging you can always check the warning labels attached to the seat. You’ll want to look for the production dates ranging January 1st, 2007 through April 30th, 2008.
As a South Carolina personal injury lawyer I have to stress that if you’re currently using one of these Zooper Tango Double Strollers you need to stop using it immediately. You can contact Zooper USA and they will send you a repair kit free of charge so you can make sure your stroller won’t collapse unexpectedly.
