Nearly 8,400 Volvo vehicles are being recalled because they could have steering problems, according to news reports .
Approximately 8,400 of its S80 sedans from 2007 are being recalled, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The recall is due to a leak of power-steering fluid could result in a sudden loss of power assist.
The problem stems from an improperly routed hose on vehicles equipped with the 6-cylinder, nonturbocharged engine, according to news reports.
So far, no reports of personal injuries or car accidents have been reported in connection to the recall.
As a Moncks Corner car accident attorney , I urge drivers with this vehicle to get it fixed as soon as possible to avoid any future car accidents or personal injuries. Volvo said it will notify owners of the recalled vehicles beginning June 17. I’m glad Volvo was able to recall this vehicle before any car accidents or injuries occurred. Volvo will replace the faulty fuel pump and fix the problems related to the recall for free.
