During a license check in Woodruff, SC, a 22-year-old volunteer firefighter was arrested on DUI charges.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the firefighter was driving a city vehicle. He was released on a $3,000 bond and was charged with driving under the influence. He also faces a child endangerment charge of a 16-year-old that accompanied him in the vehicle.
Woodruff fire officials reported that the young man is currently suspended from the department.
