According to a news report published by WYFF 4, the South Carolina Department of Transportation has proposed that roundabouts replace two intersections in Anderson, South Carolina in order to improve the efficiency, operation, and safety of the intersections listed below:

• Concord Road and Harris Bridge Road
• Kings Road and Brown Road

As of now, sources estimate that the total costs of the construction and engineering for the Concord Road and Harris Bridge Road will add up to roughly $2.45 million, while the second roundabout will cost an estimated $2.2 million. These estimates include all project design expenses, construction inspection costs, right of way expenses, and more. Sources state that federal money will pay for up to 80% of the project and the state of South Carolina will be in charge of paying the remaining amount.

The Anderson Area Transportation Study determined that these two intersections were in need of improvements.
