Two men of Berkeley County were indicted by a federal grand jury on three counts of manufacturing methamphetamine.
The investigation began in May due to a suspicious fire that took place at the Pine Harbor Apartments in Goose Creek, SC, claiming the lives of three and displacing several residents.
The investigation continues and is being handled by the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office, State Law Enforcement Division, the Drug Enforcement Agency, as well as the ATF.
DEA Special Agent, Harry S. Sommers, told the media, “DEA is committed to working with our law enforcement partners to prevent tragedies like this from occurring by reducing the presence of methamphetamine in our country and putting those who traffic in it, in its precursors, and other illegal and illicit drugs out of business.”
