At least two people were injured in a car accident along Highway 501 in Conway last Friday, according to news reports .
The car accident occurred around 1:30 p.m. when a driver traveling southbound on Highway 501 drifted into the northbound lanes, crashing into another vehicle, according to news reports. The cars collided in the northbound lanes of Highway 501 in front of the old Coca Cola plant. It is unclear what caused the driver to lose control of his vehicle.
An elderly woman driving a van and a driver of the second vehicle were transported to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center. Their current condition or extent of their injuries is unknown.
No one else was involved in the crash, according to news reports.
