A little girl who was killed in a tragic car accident has inspired a legacy of love, inspiring people to donate more than a million dollars, according to news reports .
Chairty:Water donations reached more than $1,002,000 Friday morning for little girl who died as a result of a 15-car accident in Washington State on July 20.
The nine-year-old who not only has inspired hundreds of people to donate to Charity Water, she will also help patients awaiting organ transplants. Her liver is going to Chicago – doctors found a patient small enough who needed a liver. Her kidney went to a man at the University of Washington Medical Center and her pancreas went to Wisconsin for research, according to news reports.
The Charity:Water fund was set up for her birthday in June. Her goal was to raise $300 by her birthday, but came up short. Since the tragic accident, the fund has skyrocketed to more than $200,000.
As a Columbia car accident attorney , I remember hearing about this tragic accident. My condolences go out to the victim’s friends and family who are dealing with this tragic accident. I hope investigators are able to determine how this fatal accident exactly occurred so an incident like this can potentially be prevented in the future.
I’m glad this little girl’s legacy is living on in a positive way. As a personal injury lawyer in Columbia, it’s inspiring to hear about this story.
