A man in Europe lost his license recently after texting and talking while driving with two phones at the same time, according to news reports .
If using your cell phone while driving makes you a jerk (and make no mistake, it does), and texting while driving pushes you into “horrible human being” territory, what does talking one phone while texting on another … while driving 75mph … and steering with your knees … on a suspended license make you?
Only the Son of Perdition knows, and no doubt he’ll be happy to tell you upon your inevitable arrival in that special circle of the Inferno reserved for you and perhaps that guy who ran over Stephen King while trying to wrestle a steak from the jaws of his unsecured Rottweiler.
Failing redemption, this is possibly the fate of David Secker, 34, who was pulled over in Blofield, near Norwich, UK for reportedly doing all of the above (with the exception of running over Stephen King while fighting with a dog over meat).
“He was seen holding a mobile phone to his right ear and as he moved closer the officer saw he was holding another phone in his other hand as though he was texting,” Prosecutor Denis King said of the May 17 incident for which Secker recently received his earthly sentence – a £150 ($245) fine and 14 points on his driver’s license, which is suspended for a year.
“I think the magistrates treated me fairly,” said the unemployed Secker who, by the way, insisted on finishing his phone call before addressing the police who pulled him over.
As a Beaufort car accident attorney , I was saddened to hear that act like this occure. I urge drivers to never talk on the phone while driving or text while driving, especially not at the same time.
