Grace’s Restaurant in Anderson received an unwelcomed guest Thursday morning when an SUV crashed into the side of the building, according the news reports.
The incident occurred when a female driver accelerated into the restaurant when she meant to put her foot on the breaks, according to the Anderson police department. Her SUV crashed into a front wall of the restaurant, damaging two front windows and some of the structure below the windows.
Luckily, no one was injured in the collision. A man was sitting on the other side of the wall but escaped injury, according to the Anderson Fire Chief. Another woman was treated for minor injuries but refused transport to the hospital.
The accident is being investigated. It is unclear if Grace’s Restaurant is closed or if the collision will affect business.
