Summer has officially arrived, and what better way to enjoy vacation than by taking a road trip!?
Road trips can be a fun way to spend time with friends and family and see the county. There are, however, important safety tips to remember before embarking on your journey.
According to the Car Care Center, inspecting your car before heading out on a summer road-trip could save you time and money in the long run.
“No one wants to experience car trouble while on vacation,” said Rich White, executive director, Car Care Council, to news reports. “A simple vehicle inspection can help avoid the inconvenience and potential safety hazards of breaking down many miles away from home. In just 10 minutes, drivers can make sure their car is ready for travel and then take steps to have any problems fixed before heading out for vacation.”
A 10-minute inspection will check to see how ready your vehicle is before hitting the road. This includes checking fluids, hoses, belts, tires, wipers, and lighting. They also recommend drivers restock their vehicle’s emergency kit, avoid reckless driving, avoid idling, and stay the speed limit.
As a Columbia auto accident lawyer, I urge drivers to check their vehicle before hitting the road.
If you or a loved one were harmed in an auto accident, discuss your case with a Columbia personal injury lawyer who can evaluate your case and help protect your rights, along with answer any important legal questions you may have regarding your claim.
