Injuries were reported in a traffic collision on the 17 Bypass on Thursday morning, according to news reports .

The accident occurred at Palmetto Point Blvd on the 17 Bypass in Myrtle Beach. It is unclear how the collision occurred, but an overturned vehicle was reported at the scene. It is unknown how many vehicles were involved in the accident or how many victims were hurt. The South Carolina Highway Patrol reported injuries involved in the collision, but the extent of those injuries is unknown.

The collision backed up traffic on the 17 Bypass. Troopers suggested drivers take the Socastee Boulevard to Hwy 544 and then back onto the 17 Bypass to avoid the traffic in this collision, according to news reports.
