A New Jersey family is suing Diamond Pet Foods plant in Gaston, South Carolina. The family is claiming their infant was sickened by salmonella from food at the plant.
The boy was hospitalized for three days earlier in the year suffering from diarrhea, stomach injuries, and pain. It was reported by the CDC that 15 people were sickened with the bacteria from the plant across the country earlier in the year. The plant was closed for about a month, and the company says it has fixed the problem.
