Ice cream is being recalled because the packaging may not inform consumers of the right flavor inside, posing a possibly health risk, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
Publix Super Markets is recalling its for Publix Premium Light Tiramisu Ice Cream because it could actually contain Publix Premium Coffee Almond Fudge Light Ice Cream. The Fudge ice-cream has almonds in it, which could pose an allergy risk to those with nut allergies.
The product included in the recall is: Publix Premium Light Tiramisu Ice Cream, UPC: 41415- 13343. The lot code, which is found on bottom of carton, is: Sep 12 2011 B7 PLT 12-444.
The undeclared allergen could cause serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if allergic consumers eat this product.
