Honda Odysseys from the model year 2011 are being recalled to address weak windshield wipers that could break when frozen, according to news reports .
Nearly 33,341 Honda Odysseys are being recalled over the “concern of damage to the windshield wiper arm control assembly caused by trying to operate the wipers when they are frozen to the windshield,” according to news reports.
According to Honda, the windshield wipers can break if drivers try to operate the wipers when they are frozen to the windshield. The single motor with a system of linkages that drive the wiper arms could break and bend or be pulled out of the assembly, according to news reports.
As a North Charleston personal injury lawyer , I’m glad that this vehicle recall does not directly affect the safety of drivers or passengers. Still, I urge drivers to get this issue fixed as soon as possible to ensure you have the best working windshield wipers. Correctly working windshield wipers are necessary for good visibility during rainy weather. Honda said dealers will fix the wipers for free.
