A man who is a familiar face at South Carolina high schools was charged with driving under the influence Monday night, according to news reports.
The 28-year-old Summerville High School security officer was arrested when he crashed his 2008 Toyota pickup into a ditch on Mentor Street, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol. The man, who is currently employed with Dorchester District 2 and works at Summerville High School as a security officer, was charged with a DUI and open container.
It is unclear if the man sustained any injuries from the drunk driving accident. His blood alcohol level was not reported.
