A man who is a familiar face at South Carolina high schools was charged with driving under the influence Monday night, according to news reports.
The 28-year-old Summerville High School security officer was arrested when he crashed his 2008 Toyota pickup into a ditch on Mentor Street, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol. The man, who is currently employed with Dorchester District 2 and works at Summerville High School as a security officer, was charged with a DUI and open container.
It is unclear if the man sustained any injuries from the drunk driving accident. His blood alcohol level was not reported.
As a North Charleston car accident attorney, , I hope the man escaped injuries from the collision. It is sad to hear about this irresponsible incident that involves a drunk driver. I’m glad to hear others weren’t injured by his actions. When you chose to get behind the wheel drunk, you’re not only putting yourself at risk, but also all those who you drive past. I hope the man learns from this incident and never gets behind the wheel while intoxicated.
