More General Motors trucks are being recalled, adding to those already recalled for a faulty rear axle cross pin, according to news reports .
Approximately 26,751 vehicles are included in the extended recall, affecting the Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV, Cadillac EXT; Chevrolet Avalanche, Colorado, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe; and GMC Canyon, Sierra, Yukon and Yukon XL.
Previously, GM recalled 10,823 Accord V-6 vehicles for the 2010 and 2011 model year as well as 2011 Pilot vehicles have rear axle pins that may not have been tightened enough during assembly, due to a manufacture programing error.
The loose bolts could increase the risk of steering loss and cause excess noise, according to news reports. The spindle nuts may also be loose on some of the vehicles, which could cause steering loss in the front suspension collapses.
So far, no injuries or car accidents have been reported in connection to the recall, according to GM.
