Consumers who have the faulty dishwashers are warned to stop using the dishwasher immediately and to disconnect the electric supply via the fuse or circuit breaker.
GE has set up a toll free hot line for consumers to set up an appointment for repairs at no cost in your home. That number is (866) 918-8760 as well as a website www.geappliances.com/recall . Owners are also eligible for rebates towards the purchase of certain model dishwashers.
