More than 240,000 Dodge Ram trucks are being recalled due to potential problems with the steering mechanism.
According to Chrysler, while operating at low speed, the trucks’ steering linkage could break thus causing a loss of steering affecting the left front wheel.
The trucks affected by the recall include Dodge Ram MegaCab 1500 4×4 2008 models and Ram 2500 and 3500 Heavy Duty trucks with model years varying from the year 2003 through 2011.
In addition, larger Ram trucks were recalled earlier for the same issues. Notifications will be sent out by Chrysler to dealers indicating the trucks which need inspections and repairs.
Thanks to recalls, drivers can avoid possible accidents. However, sometimes consumers do not get enough notification about potential problems which result in car accidents or truck accidents.
