Steve was born in Marion, SC, one of four children of two school teachers. After graduating from Marion High School, he received his undergraduate degree from Wofford College, where he was a 4-year letterman on the baseball team and served as team captain his senior year. He went on to graduate from the University of South Carolina School of Law, and has been practicing primarily workers’ compensation law since. Steve is licensed to practice law in the state of South Carolina, the U.S. District Court, District of South Carolina, and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Fourth District. He is a member of the Richland County Bar Association and the Injured Workers’ Advocates. Before joining George Sink, P.A. Injury Lawyers, he practiced law with the Harris & Graves law firm for 35 years.

Steve spent many years coaching youth baseball teams, and now enjoys umpiring. He is a current member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Columbia, SC, where he has served several terms as both an Elder and a Deacon. He is the father of two, a daughter in Easley and a son who passed away in 2017.
