Philip “Heath” Ward is a personal injury attorney, who has dedicated his law practice to fighting for the rights of injured South Carolinians.
Raised in south Georgia by a YMCA director and a public school teacher, Heath learned the values of service and advocacy at a young age. Heath received his undergraduate degree from The University of Georgia, where he studied comparative literature and art history. He went on to earn his Masters in Public Administration from UGA and then his law degree from the Charleston School of Law, where he was awarded the Outstanding Pro Bono Service Award. Heath is also an AmeriCorps alum, having spent a year of public service between college and graduate school working for the Atlanta Outward Bound center.
Prior to joining the George Sink Law Firm, Heath clerked for the 15th Circuit Solicitor’s Office in Georgetown, South Carolina. And for the past eight years, he served as a supervising attorney at a large Charleston-based injury practice. Heath’s client-centered approach has led to millions of dollars in recovery for his clients. He has extensive experience in leading and collaborating with lawyers to deal with complex problems. He is licensed to practice in both South Carolina State and Federal District Courts. Heath is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association, the Charleston Bar Association, and the South Carolina Association of Justice. Heath is also actively involved in the Charleston Rotary Club.
In his spare time, Heath enjoys traveling and exploring the Lowcountry with his wife, Lisa (who is also a lawyer), and their two sons, Grady and Brody.
