David Lehmann represents veterans nationwide to make sure the VA gives disabled veterans what they deserve. Dave is firm in his belief that after a veteran serves our country, the VA should serve our veterans.
Often, obtaining disability rating increases and achieving “service connection” status is quite challenging. This challenge drives David to practice veterans law. He is dedicated to helping veterans cut through the administrative red tape to ensure the VA gives them the benefits that they earned through their service.
The son of an educator, Dave inherited a lifelong love of learning. He attended the University of Kansas School of Law, where he was very active in the Kansas City community. When he wasn’t teaching business law to undergraduates, he was in court defending children involved in the legal system.
After law school, Dave served as a judicial law clerk in the 10th Judicial District of Kansas, just outside of Kansas City. During his clerkship, Dave worked closely with two civil judges. This opportunity provided Dave with the ability to think like a judge – a talent he puts to work in his pursuit to serve disabled veterans.
Dave recently moved to Charleston from Kansas City. While the humid summers are an adjustment, the lack of winter’s snow and ice make up for it. When Dave isn’t in the office, he coaches the Marrington Middle School Mock Trial team. He also enjoys golf, kayaking, and Cold War history.
