Over 50 Years of Service
What began as one person's commitment to helping others has grown into a firm that has impacted countless lives. Here's a look at the moments that shaped us.
1966
Early Years
After earning his master’s degree, George Sink worked as a teacher before joining the Marine Corps in 1966. During his two tours in Vietnam, George formed lasting friendships with many people from the South who inspired him to eventually build his future in South Carolina.
1973
Becoming a Lawyer
After retiring from the Marines as a Captain, George attended Emory Law School using the GI Bill and graduated in 1973. He moved to Charleston soon after and began practicing law with the belief that legal representation should be personal and honest.
1976
Starting the Firm
In 1976, George opened George Sink & Associates, which focused on helping injured people and their families. The firm was later renamed George Sink Injury Lawyers and built a reputation for compassionate service and strong legal advocacy.
1997
Expanding the Firm
We opened our second office in Myrtle Beach in 1997, beginning our expansion across South Carolina and beyond. Over the years, we continued to grow so we could help more injured people and be there for communities when they needed us most.
2019
Reaching 200 Employees
By 2019, George Sink Injury Lawyers reached more than 200 employees. Our growing team of legal professionals has allowed us to help even more injured people and their families get the justice they deserve.
2024
$1 Billion Recovered
In 2024, we reached $1 billion recovered for our clients. Behind that milestone are thousands of people and families who were able to get the compensation they needed to rebuild and move forward.
Today
Continuing the Legacy
After 50 years of service, George Sink Injury Lawyers has helped more than 100,000 people and grown to 17 office locations across South Carolina, Georgia, and North Carolina. Through it all, our mission remains the same: standing with people when they need it most.
