Woman Drives Car Onto Golf Course Into Sand Trap

By George Sink on June 29, 2012

In today’s “Strange News,” a woman in Uxbridge, Massachusetts told police that she drove her car into a sand trap on the golf course because her GPS sent her that way.

The 47-year-old woman claims her GPS told her to turn left which led her through a corn field and onto the golf course.

Authorities say she was drunk, and alcohol was found in a cup in her car.  The woman pled not guilty to all charges including driving with a suspended license and a fourth offense of driving while intoxicated.

Although there were golfers on the course, none were injured.

Typically when you’re on the golf course, you’re there to hit balls, not dodge cars!  Unfortunately, accidents can happen when we least expect them.  Therefore, if you’ve been the victim of an auto accident, you should contact George Sink, P.A. Injury Lawyers
