Two state troopers were recognized for drunk driving enforcement. One officer completed 161 arrests in 2011 and was given the “Highway Patrol Trooper of the Year” award. Clemson University’s police department was also recognized for enforcing DUI laws. “We are honored to receive this recognition,” said Chief Johnson Link, in a statement. “We have worked hard in this area of enforcement and to be recognized for our efforts is very rewarding.” They made 66 arrests for DUI’s in 2011, and they started an Alive at 25 program which promotes safety amongst drivers under 25, according to news reports.
As a personal injury attorney Charleston, I’m glad these departments and officers are being awarded for their efforts in stopping drunk drivers. If you or a loved one were harmed by an unsafe driver, discuss your case with a personal injury lawyer who can evaluate your claim and help protect your rights. When you have an attorney fighting hard for your rights, you are more likely to get the results you deserve for your case. An attorney can help you get the best results possible for your claim and answer any questions you may have for your case. When you have a lawyer on your side, the chances of getting a higher compensation for your claim is higher. A lawyer can walk you through the steps associated with your case and respond to your concerns.
