Greg was born in Alexandria, VA while his father, after serving as an officer in the United States Marine Corp, worked as an attorney for the City of Alexandria and later went into private practice. When he was a small child, his family relocated to their home state of Alabama, and Greg was raised in West Alabama.
Greg attended the University of Memphis, where he earned a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in International Business and a minor in History. After graduation, Greg studied at the Thomas Good Jones School of Law at Faulkner University in Montgomery, AL, where his legal research skills quickly became evident. Greg earned the prestigious CALI Award for Legal Excellence in both Federal Rules of Evidence I and II.
While in law school, Greg held several judicial clerkships and internships with notable law firms. He served as a Law Clerk at the law firm of Melton, Espy & Williams, where he put his legal skills to work on a capital case appeal and appeared at an associated appellate hearing. He later held a Clerkship with the Hon. Richard H. Dorrough in the 15th Judicial Circuit Court in Montgomery, and was a Legal Extern for the Alabama Civil Court of Appeals under the guidance of the Hon. William Thompson. As a third-year law student, Greg was selected for a criminal law internship at the prominent firm of Enslen & Pinkston, where he represented juvenile defendants.
After earning his Juris Doctorate in 1999, Greg was admitted to the Alabama State Bar and later was admitted to argue in front of the Supreme Court of Alabama. Throughout his diverse legal career, Greg has practiced personal injury, Social Security disability, family law, elder law and federal Medicare/Medicaid law, where he assisted Medicaid applicants and their families preserve assets and prepare for long-term care options. Greg is an Accredited Medicaid Planner.
Greg joined Sink Law in August of 2011, and has quickly established himself as a caring and competent advocate in the firm’s growing Social Security Disability practice. He is a current member of the National Organization of Social Security Representatives and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.
Greg enjoys spending his free time in the great outdoors, and is an avid hunter and fisherman. He also enjoys coaching youth sports and has served as “Coach” for the Upward Basketball and Flag Football leagues. Greg is married to the love of his life, Cindy, and they have two sons, who share their parents’ love of sports.
