Hundreds of turkeys died in a tractor trailer accident Thursday in Newberry, S.C., according to news reports.
The accident occurred around 7 a.m. Thursday when a tractor trailer crashed. It is unclear exactly how the collision occurred, but South Carolina Highway Patrol investigators said the collision also involved a sports car.
The collision blocked Highway 34 and killed about 500 of 1,000 turkeys being hauled on the truck.
It is unclear if any of the drivers were injured in the collision. The accident is being investigated by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
As a Walterboro car accident attorney, I’m saddened to hear about this collision. I hope neither of the drivers or anyone else involved in the crash was injured. I hope investigators can determine exactly how this collision occurred.
