George Sink A South Carolina Injury Lawyer

FORMER INNER CITY TEACHER AND

VIET NAM VET GEORGE SINK FINDS

HIS NICHE IN THE SOUTH AS

A SOUTH CAROLINA INJURY AND

DISABILITY LAWYER

Two powerful, life changing experiences in George Sink’s first years out of college reinforced the dogged determination and fighting spirit that he would someday draw upon to help thousands of plaintiffs as one of South Carolina’s top injury lawyers.

Right out of Western Michigan University, the Detroit born and raised Sink taught English, geography and history to inner city 7th and 8th graders in his hometown, a challenging experience he likens to the classic film “The Blackboard Jungle.” His teaching job could have exempted him from the Viet Nam draft, but instead he volunteered for service in the Marine Corps and served two tours in Viet Nam—leaving as a Captain after three years of active duty.

His father, who worked in a Chrysler Corporation factory, thought Sink’s dream of becoming a lawyer was too risky, but Sink was determined to go to law school. Funded by the GI Bill, he went back to Western Michigan to get an MBA and then was accepted into Emory Law School in Atlanta.

Settling in Charleston, Sink began working for a general practitioner, doing everything from wills to corporate law, criminal law and personal injury. When he launched his own firm, he chose to focus on personal injury because “I realized that I’m a people person and have a passion to help people, especially those who are hurting literally and figuratively.”

With five staffed offices throughout South Carolina, George Sink, P.A. Injury Lawyers handles all forms of personal injury cases, including auto accidents, workers’ compensation, social security disability, drug and medical injuries, wrongful death, nursing home abuse, truck accidents and premises liability. His staff helps clients do everything from handling calls and negotiations with insurance companies, to finding qualified health care providers to treat their injuries and getting their pay started for workers’ compensation injuries.

Over the past few decades, Sink and his firm, George Sink, P.A. Injury Lawyers, has helped over 35,000 injured people. Sink currently has staffed offices in North Charleston, Columbia, Greenville, Walterboro and Moncks Corner, with staffing plans this summer for his Sumter and Orangeburg offices. The unstaffed offices in Beaufort and Florence are always available, but by appointment only.

MamaLittleHelper Baby Hammocks: Suffocation Hazard to Babies

Seems like there’s a recall of a new product every day. Today I stumbled across this recall of a baby hammock because it poses a suffocation hazard to your little one(s). MamaLittleHelper LLC manufactured an Infant and Toddler Hammock that has been receiving reports of it becoming unbalanced causing the baby to shift inside.

There were approximately 500 of these hammocks in circulation. They were sold exclusively through MamaLittleHelper.com between May 2008 and February 2010. The retail price was anywhere between $100 and $230 depending on the model purchased.

Description: This
recall includes MamaLittleHelper Hammocks with model numbers 1010, 1020
and BL222. They have a steel frame and a fabric hammock with a mattress
which are connected by a large spring, safety rope and a metal hanger.
Model BL222 has a computerized rocker device. “MamaLittleHelper” is
printed on a label sewn onto the hammock models 1010 and 1020. Model
BL222 does not have a label.

As a South Carolina personal injury lawyer I have to stress that if you have one of these baby hammocks you should stop using it immediately and find a safe alternative to use for your baby/infant. You don’t want your baby to suffer a serious accident.

You should contact MamaLittleHelper to receive your repair kit (for models 101 and 1020). However if you have the model BL222 hammock you should return it to the company directly and they’ll exchange it for you. They don’t have a repair kit for the BL222 series.

You can also order a repair kit online at their website: MamaLittleHelper.com/recall.htm You may also reach them directly on the phone at: 866.612.9986.
