Victim Recovering after Truck Crash

By Personal Injury Lawyer on August 11, 2011

One of the victims who was injured in a crash on Wednesday in North Charleston is improving in the hospital, according to news reports.

The 48-year-old Summerville man is reportedly listed in “good” condition at the Medical University of South Carolina. The man was one of two victims injured in a fiery crash on Interstate 26 on Wednesday morning, according to news reports.

The man was injured when a tractor trailer he was driving slammed into another large truck. The trucks were hauling wood chips, and the collision created a large fire and shut down the Interstate for hours, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

It is unclear if anyone was charged for the crash.

The other victim, a 40-year-old, is at MUSC in fair condition, according to news reports.

As a Columbia car accident lawyer, I’m saddened to hear about this trucking accident. My condolences are with both victims’ friends and families during this difficult time. I hope both victims are able to experience a full and speedy recover. I hope the victims are able to continue getting better.
