Infant Car Seats Recalled for Breaking Clips

By SinkLawAdmin on January 5, 2012

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has issued a safety recall on infant car seats manufactured by Britax. The company is cooperating with the FDA to recall the Chaperone models. Car seat chest clips may break, causing lacerations and posing a choking hazard. Consumers will receive replacement chest clips and instructions from Britax, according to news reports.

As a car accident lawyer Charleston, I hope that nobody is harmed by this defective product. Child safety is very important to me, and I hope parents and caretakers take the time to review their child’s products to ensure the recalled product is not being used by them. If you are in possession of the product, return it immediately then discuss your case with a personal injury attorney who can evaluate your claim, help assess your case, and answer any questions you may have concerning your case. A lawyer can work with you throughout the processes involved with your case in order to get the best possible compensation for your pain and suffering, along with the highest possible attention devoted to your case. With a lawyer on your side, your case may proceed more smoothly and you will get the results you deserve.
