Grape Tomatoes Face Recall

Grape tomatoes potentially tainted with salmonella are undergoing a recall. The recall was announced by the Food and Drug Administration. The recalled foods are 10-ounce pint and 10-pound bulk containers. The supplier’s, Rio Queen Citrus, testing of random sampling discovered the problem. Investigators are still looking into the source of the issue. There have been no illness linked to the recalled tomatoes as of yet. The product was distributed to a couple states along with food service distributors and retail shops. According to news reports, the affected product has a green sticker on the bottom along with a specific lot number. Those who purchased the product are asked to contact Front Row Produce grape tomatoes as soon as possible and throw them away.
