A single-car wreck ended in tragedy for a man early Sunday morning, said a representative for South Carolina Highway Patrol. The wreck occurred at 2:25am on Neeses Highway when a 1999 Nissan driver ran off the side of the roadway then veered off the left side after overcorrecting. As a Columbia car accident attorney, I hear about many car wrecks involving drivers who overcorrect before crashing, and my thoughts are with the victim’s family in this auto accident. The driver then collided with a drain pipe then overturned. The 38-year-old female passenger was ejected from the car and pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. According to news reports, nobody wore a seat belt in the collision. The collision remains under investigation by Highway Patrol and MAIT.
If you or someone you know were harmed in an auto accident caused by negligence, discuss your case with a personal injury attorney who can discuss your case and the many legal processes involved. A lawyer can also answer important legal questions and fully assess your case in order to reach the best possible outcome.
