CPSC Launches Small Batch Registry

By SinkLawAdmin on January 12, 2012

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has started a user-friendly registry for small batch manufacturers. A small batch manufacturer is described as a company generating less than $1 million dollars in gross revenues and produced no more than 7,500 units in 2011. Qualified small batch manufacturers will not be required to use third party testing on their products, but are not exempt from providing a certificate of conformity, according to news reports.

As a Sumter personal injury attorney, I hope these efforts decrease the number of incidents involving children’s products. Safety is my top concern and children should be protected through government programs such as these. If you or a loved one were hurt by an unsafe product, discuss your case with a personal injury lawyer who can help evaluate your case by discussing any questions you may have regarding your personal injury claim. A lawyer can fight to protect and defend your rights and make sure your case gets the full attention it deserves. A lawyer can work hard to make sure your case is completely evaluated and assessed so that you get the best possible results for your case. With a lawyer on your side, you can rest assured someone will be working to defend your case.
