Car, Train Accidnet Injures One

By Personal Injury Lawyer on July 13, 2011

One person was injured in a train and car collision Wednesday afternoon in Little Mountain, S.C., according to news reports.

The accident occurred around 2 p.m. Wednesday in Little Mountain community on
Dr. Bowers Road, according to news reports.

It is unclear exactly what caused the collision, but the South Carolina Highway Patrol said the accident occurred when a train crashed into a Volkswagen Bug, where a driveway crosses the railroad tracks.

The driver of the Volkswagen Bug was injured in the collision and transported to a nearby hospital. The extent of the driver’s injuries is unknown.

As a Greenville personal injury lawyer, I’m saddened to hear about this train accident. I hope the injured driver is able to experience a full and speedy recovery. I urge drivers to always be careful around train tracks. Drivers should never cross the tracks when warning signs are alerting you of an oncoming train. I hope investigators can determine exactly how this incident occurred so a train accident like this can potentially be prevented in the future.

If you or a loved one has been injured in a train accident, contact a personal injury lawyer in Greenville.
