A driver sustained minor injuries on Monday after an exposed gas line was hit on East Old Marion Highway in Florence. The crash resulted in damage to a gas pipe in an underground section of the highway, causing that roadway to be closed. Emergency road crews repaired the damage and reopened the roadway soon after the incident. According to news reports, no major injuries were sustained in the collision.
