Canopy Beds Taken Off Market

By Personal Injury Lawyer on December 28, 2011

Approximately 7,700 canopy beds for children are being recalled by Pottery Barn Kids because components of the bed may fall, which may injure the person sleeping. As of today, 33 reports have been received of the canopy bed falling. Incidents include injuries such as stitches, cuts, and bruises, according to news reports. The top rails of the canopy may detach, allowing the canopy to collapse. The exact bed included in the recall is part of the Madeline Bedroom Collection. It includes four posts, headboard, and footboard. It is available in twin, full and queen sizes. The beds were sold in the US in retail outlets, online and in the catalog between December 2003 and August 2011 for $150-330 each. Customers are urged to remove the bed from their home and get in touch with a Pottery Barn Kids for a repair free of charge.

As a Spartanburg personal injury lawyer, I hope nobody else is harmed by this bed and that parents check to see if they own it immediately so that injuries can be prevented. If you or a loved one were harmed by an defective product, discuss your case with a car accident lawyer who can evaluate your case and help protect and defend your legal rights by discussing any legal questions you may have and guiding you through the case.
