A South Carolina driver collided into a pedestrian in Spartanburg County around 9:36pm on Thursday in Boiling Springs. The driver did not stop for the pedestrian, said a representative for South Carolina Highway Patrol. The suspect was driving his SUV along SC-9 when he slammed into two people walking the median. A 47-year-old pedestrian was killed in the crash after being thrown into northbound lanes. The other crash victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The SUV driver fled the scene of the wreck and is no under arrest for hit-and-run charges and no proof of insurance, according to news reports.
As a Columbia auto accident attorney, my thoughts are with the family of those harmed in the pedestrian crash. I hope nobody else was hurt in this collision.
