Hundreds of cases of spilt beer blocked Interstate 26 in North Charleston, S.C., according to news reports.
The accident occurred around 11:30 p.m. when two tractor trailers collided on I-26 near mile marker 205. One of the trucks reportedly crashed into the center wall, causing hundreds of cases of beer to spill out onto the highway. The beer blocked two lanes of the highway in both directions.
Traffic was seriously impacted as a result of the spill and created a major gridlock.
Schiltz Malt Liquor and Old Milwaukee beer was involved in the spill.
No personal injuries or additional car accidents were involved in the collision.
It is unclear what caused the trucks to crash. The incident is being investigated by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
