By Personal Injury Lawyer on May 27, 2011

At least one person sustained injuries in a train accident near Highway 52 in Goose Creek, S.C., on Friday, according to news reports.

The accident occurred when a train collided with a car at the intersection of Highway 52 and Redbank Road around 1p.m. Friday. It is unclear exactly how the train accident occurred, but South Carolina Highway Patrol investigators said when the train and car collided, the car was then pushed into three other vehicles.

Only minor injuries were reported in the crash, according to news reports.

It is unclear if anyone was cited for the train accident. South Carolina Highway Patrol investigators are working to determine all the factors in the collision.

As a Beaufort car accident attorney, I’m glad to hear that there were no serious injuries involved in this train incident. I hope those victims who sustained minor injuries are able to make a full and speedy recovery. I hope investigators can determine how this accident occurred so similar crashes can be avoided. I urge drivers to only cross train tracks when it is safe and to always follow safety signs.
