Man in Parked Car Dies in Fort Mill Crash

By Personal Injury Lawyer on October 11, 2011

A man died Monday night because of a vehicle collision while sitting in a car parked in a Fort Mill driveway, report news sources.

According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, at approximately 6:30 p.m. the 42-year-old Rock Hill man was in a vehicle parked in the driveway of a Fort Mill business when the drivers of two vehicles traveling northbound on Harrisonburg Road lost control of their vehicles, one of which, driven by a Charlotte man, crashed into the parked car. The driver of the other errant vehicle was apparently able to regain control of the car and left the scene.

The man in the parked car was rushed to a Charlotte, medical center where he was declared dead. The driver of the vehicle that stuck the parked car was taken to a Rock Hill medical center for treatment of unspecified injuries suffered in the collision.

The incident remains under investigation.

As a Walterboro auto accident lawyer, I have witnessed first-hand the shock and grief of those left behind after an unexpected death. My heartfelt condolences go out to the man in the parked car’s family, friends and loved ones. I hope that they are getting all of the help and support they need during this challenging time. Being a Walterboro personal injury attorney, I am well aware of the types of injuries that can be suffered in a traffic-related incident. I wish the injured driver a rapid recovery from his injuries.
