Failure to Stop Leads to Crash

By Personal Injury Lawyer on June 16, 2011

One person died in a car accident early Friday in a collision with a tractor-trailer truck in Aiken County, S.C., according to news reports.

The car accident occurred around midnight at the intersection of Poole Road and Walker Street when a 25-year-old was traveling east on Pole Road. As he was driving a Honda, the man reportedly ran a stop sign at the intersection. As he traveled through the stop sign, he collided with a tractor trailer, according to news reports.

The man reportedly died at the scene of the crash. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision.

The truck driver was transported to MCGHealth with serious injuries, according to news reports. His current condition is unknown, but he is expected to be OK.

South Carolina Highway Patrol investigators said entrapment was involved in the crash. They are still working to determine all the factors in the collision.

As a Greenville car accident attorney, I’m saddened to hear about this fatal car accident. My condolences go out to the victims’ friends and family during this difficult time. I hope the injured driver is able to experience a full and speedy recovery.
