Authorities are investigating a hit-and-run collision in Greenville County near Travelers Rest that left a woman badly injured early Monday morning report news sources.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the 4:35 a.m. crash occurred at the intersection of Dacusville Road and Redding Road a few miles north of Travelers Rest. The woman who was injured in the collision had been driving a 1998 Chrysler Sebring southbound on Dacusville Road when a truck traveling northbound veered to the left and struck the Chrysler. Then, without stopping, the truck fled the scene.
The woman, an Easley resident, suffered unspecified injuries and was transported by ambulance to an area hospital. Here condition was not known at the time of reporting.
The incident remains under investigation, and authorities believe that the at large vehicle is a white extended cab truck that has a decal on the side.
Being an Orangeburg car accident attorney, I am well aware of the types of injuries that can be suffered in a crash. I wish the woman a rapid recovery from her injuries. Because of my experience as an Orangeburg personal injury lawyer, I am very aware of the split-second difference between everything seeming fine and a terrible vehicle crash. I urge motorists always to practice safe driving habits and to stay alert to changing road and traffic conditions.
